Black and White

I love the look of Black & White.  It is simple, classic, bold and versatile.  Houndstooth is back in trend again.  This year there are so many different designs of houndstooth and I see them in everything from scarves, pants, skirts, jackets, coats to just name a few.

I decided it was time to weave a few scarves in black and white.  I got out my Strictler pattern book and found an interesting variation on a pinwheel design.  It is an 8 shaft draft, straight drawl threading.

I made 1 long scarf and 2 "Collar Scarves". One of the collar scarves is mine.  I really love this pattern and will get lots of use from it.

The fringe took some thought.  Should I twist the fringe to make solid black and solid white fringe or do I twist the black and white together?  I decided on twisting them together.

I'll be wearing one tomorrow!
